Wow! A+! Never before have I seen a piece of digital art so beautifully mimic traditional art in so much splendor. The folds of paint and seamless blending is simply unfathomable(because it's the ocean? Get it?). The paint daubs which represent the fiery explosion are nothing short of impressive, and the highlights on the water are wonderful. I'm wondering how you did this. I'm new to the whole digital art thing, being a traditionalist myself,(but not having uploaded many traditional pieces due to the scanner's low quality) and would love to see a tutorial on what paintbrushes you use and your different techniques. In short, this piece is great!
This is just... beyond incredible. The level of detail is amazing, the water and fire look awesome and frightening, the composition is excellent... I could go on and on. Just thinking about the fact that a lot of this scene wa probably painted without a reference picture makes my head spin. It's an amazing piece.
